As we'll arrive late in the afternoon in Miami I would like to stay in a hotel more or less close to the airport, preferably Miami beach.
By checking sites like Tripadvisor I see many recommended hotels, but usually the ones with a high rating are very expensive. Can you recommend me a good, clean, comfortable, friendly hotel in the mentioned area?
I would be very happy to receive any tips and advise, I'm kinda lost....
And most important, I would like to (better: I need to !) have a nice hotel for Mrs W and not a dump that ruins our vacation from the beginning!
Thank you very much for any recommendations!

Yes, there is very good new hotel at Hollywood Beach but, it was very close near FLL airport. it is not much further away from FLL. You can even stay at Diplomat hotel in Hollywood Beach. it was very comfortable where you can stayed at The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, Hollywood, Florida. It is very nice place to go. You can look it around the hotel. Hope this is your helps. Thanks!

I am very good conversation with proper English and now it is getting much better for now.
Note: the walls at this hotel are extremely thin. We were up one night because the couple next to us had a fight and then had make-up sex at 3-5am.
I'd stay somewhere else.
Where?
Anyway, thanks so far for the replies. I asked for an offer at the Winterhaven, lets see what they reply. The Diplomat seems to be quite expensive....

I stayed at the Winterhaven a couple of times in the mid 90s, at around $80 a night. I went for work in 1999 and the building had been gutted. All that was standing where the concrete slabs of the floors and the pillars!
When I went back in 2004 and saw it had been rebuilt, so it's a shame to here that they haven't improved the soundprofing, especially considering the increase in price ($280 rack rate for peak period). Location is good, near enough to the "action" of Lincoln Rd and the busier parts of Ocean Drive, but far away to have a bit of quiet.
Other options, (but several years since I've been) is the Penguin and Paradise hotels on the next block up. Avoid Spring Break time of course!
I second the vote for Loews. It's there in the cluster with Ritz, National, Delano, etc., which means you can go to the bar at the National (old fashioned, beautiful wood), and you're close to Lincoln road. The staff is great. If you're looking for more square feet per dollar, on the water, you can go farther south to one of the refurbished places, but you won't get the staff, the food, or the location.
