SoBe pool parties and bikini contests
Which are some good pool parties and bikini contests a regular hoi polloi, but a savvy one, could get access to during July in Miami beach ?

Most of the good pool parties are by invitation only, I.E., if you're not on the list, the doorman won't let you pass. There are, some nightclubs with pools in SOBE which typically charge a heavy entrance fee [South Beach Clubs are some of the most exclusive and expensive in the nation.]
Sometimes public (unofficial) pool parties / bikini contests are held at hotel pools and on the beach during certain times.
By "get access" if you mean walk in for free, you're gonna have a bad time. There are no freebies in South Florida. If you meant pay, be prepared to pay heavy fees on SoBe.
