I need help as its my firs time flying with finnair.
me an my wife going to fly on Sunday nite.
I try to check the seat available to see how many seat still not choose by other to my surprise all economic seat are taken only left with less than 10 seat.
what i am worry that this is a long journey flight, i scare we cant seat together as all of the seat are selected..
anyone can advice its system error or its the facts that all seat are chosen..
will i have more option when i do online checkin tomorrow ?
or do they reserve some seat to choose when I go down early check in at airport?
still left two not good seat but i have to topup to choose that seat...

What is the route you are flying? From the comment of "topup", I assume you are flying economy and don't have any frequent flyer status? (since pre reserving seat is for a fee in that case)
You can wait until 36 hours before take off, and then you can do online check in and can then select seats for free. (There may or may not be more options to choose from at that point)

what i mean is no seat selection is limited, will i have more seat to choose during check in ?

This flight looks pretty full in Y.
Your best bet is to try to secure good seats as soon as check-in starts (it has already started, right? 11:55 saturday SIN-time)
If you cannot get seats together, go to airport as soon as airport check in opens and ask nicely, they may be able to move some passenger that has not checked in.
update... when i check in online it show only some seat are reserved.. still have about 80% not checkin yet.... this mean their system are screw up to show those seat are reserved or trying to make me to pay for reservation....

You can check in online for Finnair Flights 36 hours prior to departure? I am having the same issue. I booked on Finnair but it is on AA Metal from ORD to HEL. I can't select seats on either AA or Finnair sites. Finnair tells me it is AA metal so I have to book seats through them, but on the AA side, it says it is a Finnair flight and I have to pay to select my seats.
I can book our seats from HEL to CDG for a fee. Does this change 36 hours pre-flight as well?

The HEL-CDG should open up to free seat selection at checkin at T-36.
For codeshares I think many have reported trouble with seat selection.
My sister was flying HEL- ORD - HEL last summer. AA-metal. Because of security reasons, it was not possible to pre-book the seats at all, she was told. All seat booking had to be at the airport.

Was that AA or AY ticket? Last summer I flew on AA tickets HEL-JFK-MIA, MCO-JFK, JFK-LHR-HEL. I could select the seats on the segments with AA metal via AA website and for HEL-JFK through AY website, as I had my AY+ number on the reservation.
As a One World Emerald I should have free seat selection. But when I went to select my seats at booking last night the site indicated a $10.47/seat charge. What's up with that? As the Finnair site says no refunds on seat selection, I did not pick seats. Yes, I had entered my AA# number during reservation. Actually, there were a couple other bugs during the booking process...

Here's my experience also as a OW Emerald (AA EXP) with a ticket issued by AA and flights on Finnair. AA was not able to assign seats on Finnair. The Finnair record locator at finnair.com found my flights but did not have the ability to assign seats. I called Finnair and was able to obtain seats - they initially wanted to charge but after checking on OW status, no fee. Finnair did say no exit seats available until day of departure but after mine were assigned, I went online and was able to select other seats that included exit row.
Summary:
1. Get Finnair record locator.
2. Call Finnair and ask for seats.
3. Go online at finnair.com and choose the seats you really want.
