And JAL is increasing capability with 787-9 instead of 787-8 on 17, 20 and 21. Next week is a major holiday season there...

Miami will become year around, 3 weekly.
Chicago seasonal for summer 2016, increase to 5 weekly.

The Asian strategy in all its glory.

From a Finnish customer's perspective, I see these enhanced US connections only as positive, though. Just took the ORD service, quite convenient really, also in terms of connecting.

Funny you say that. Back when AY's ORD service was introduced, there were comments about connections on this very forum making the contrary point.

(Personally, I'd be most interested in HEL-ORD-SJC and back, which is indeed convenient, when available.)

Oh dear. When are there going to be new destinations with real frequencies and with real commitment?

FUK is less known, but very well connected. Besides its strange operating hours (no morning or evening flights as airport is closed to minimize noise) it is a great choice.
Also, it lies on the city metro, just a few minutes ride to Hakata.

CAN, sadly seasonal, is also a great choice in my mind.

Yup, my thoughts too.
I guess they got burned last time in CAN. However, you won't attract regular flyers unless you keep a daily schedule.
