Dear ktmangione, welcome to AY+ Forum! Which is your exact flight plan? I.e., which companies will operate which flights? Finnair flies e.g. JFK-HEL (and HEL-FCO), but it does not fly to DFW. On JFK-HEL there will be food service in economy class, but HEL-FCO not.

Your flight DFW-FCO will be on AA metal - there are no AY flights to/from DFW.

Moderator note.
Since it is clear that American Airlines is the operating airline, and therefore provides the aircraft, crew, cabin staff, and all catering, I'll move this thread on to the American Airlines forum, for more discussion. Ocn Vw 1K, Senior Moderator.

Like posters above were saying, please note you are flying on an AA airplane operated by AA crew. You bought a codeshare flight with Finnair, so they sold you the ticket but are not flying it.
You will get a hot meal on the departure in Y, usually some vegetarian option like pasta, or a chicken option, small salad, roll, and small desert like a packaged brownie. You will also get a beer or wine if you want, though not unlimited, just once or twice. Not long before landing they will also give you a small snack breakfast meal, usually a box containing some yogurt with granola and a muffin.
In other words, I would eat before leaving DFW personally, that's my recommendation.
