Yeah, this is the answer where extra capacity is taken for S17.

According to press statement it is due to AY needing to free pilots so they can participate in A350 training.

Well, AY gives you following options:
- you can change your travel dates until 02.11.2016 or 09.01.-12.02.2017 - providing there is availability
- rerouting via another OW airline
- full refund
- just enjoy your HiFly experience

Rerouted myself... 'Murican via LHR. I love the massive ice cream portions (with all trimmings) they have.

Ok, this latest was for 11/2016-1/2017 but I guess 5K is coming also for Summer17 season because AY needs at least 1 one long haul aircraft more.

AY? I am booked under AA codes, HEL-JKF-CLT-MIA,MIA-DCA-JFK-HEL.

AA already changed all the domestic flights, so now the loop is complete. Not one of 6 flights not messed up.

Will AY notify its passengers? I'm considering rebooking. I'm flying J on the JFK-HEL portion on November 10.

It looks like the change is not yet visible in the reservation system? I guess that it is just a matter of time.

JFK - CLT on AA is among my best US domestic experiences ever, hope you don't lose that segment. CLT also one of the favourite US airports for layovers with nice Southern dining options and the rocking chairs all over.

Actually, in your situation, I'd go for HEL - LHR - CLT - MIA due to some of the international concourses (especially F where also AY flies from and to) at MIA being so completely awful. Also more miles and segments to be gained.
