Well, I suppose that at least to the US, minicabin will indeed be used for Y, if only occasionally. However, if they don't do this on a day-to-day last-minute basis, but decide upon it far in advance, then the risk of getting bumped out of the assigned minicabin seat shouldn't be too big. But it definitely exists.

Flew it last Sunday (night flight) - though it was 100% load, there was only little traffic to the loo - obviously the Y class pax were directed to the back. Slept like a baby with earplugs. Though the service could've been faster - 3 hrs from take-off to the end of the service meant only 5 hrs or so sleep time. If they could do it in 1,5 hrs, sleep time would be much better.
Back tomorrow in same seat on a day flight.
