Happens even with the automatic points deposit, and always requires manual correction from Finnair Plus. I think it most of the times happens where the booking class is existing in two types - the system gets confused and selects the points based on the lower type.

LOL, I wanted to be a nice guy and save them some manual labour by using the automated system. Lesson learned.

Once again, points for preorder has not been posted although AY number was entered when ordering + paid with AY DC in flight.
Contacted CS through chat and they told to send receipt by POST or FAX it to them. Had to look calendar whether it was 1994 or 2017..

I think I've never received points from preorders without being in contact with customer service some time after the flight. I've always emailed my receipt and it has worked fine.

I've emailed them my receipts a myriad of times and they've always been able to post it that way.

Around 100% of staff does not know this and has not received any training on how to register a card for points accrual.
It has been like this for a long time and since no amount of feedback helps one can only assume it is a part of the well thought out onboard service experience.

Yes, correct. Last time I explained this to an FA and told her that my points have never posted before, she told me she'd make a report about the whole thing to Finnair HQ for them to educate the cabin crew better about it. Don't know if she did, but I doubt it.
I'll continue to tell them to swipe it a thousand times.

Yes, you do! I just received my whopping 38 points for a flight two days before.
To get those 38 points, I had to have a lengthy discussion with the FA about entering the AY+ number since "it's already here and you have received the discount". I tried my best to explain to her what everyone's been discussing above, but I'm not quite sure she believed me in the end, although she did add the card manually.

Well, I was able to double/triple dip for Napue:
- Pre-order three Napue bottles at www.finnairshop.com (Jan 12th) (-15% campaign, â 26,77€)
- Pay partially using tax free voucher (discounted last fall, 50€ voucher for 15€ + 2000p) partially AY branded master card. (Feb 2nd)
- Got AY points Jan 19th and Feb 2 (two different amounts, I wonder why...) + Credit card points
- Total for three Napue bottles was 45.31€ + 1500p

Junior can't upgrade trips through the online tool. Can log in and access the tool, but the segments are marked "Not selectable".
AY plus service desk has no issues doing the upgrade, but without the current discount.
Yet another case of discrimination against junior members. AY+ is starting to annoy the h*ll out of me.
