The liver pate is gone forever? Used to be my favourite AY J breakfast item.

Is there a difference between AY operated flights and AY flights operated by FlyBe (e.g ex DUS) in terms of J food?

On my experience there is no difference.

No, there's no difference. The catering is the same.

Flew to CDG Friday morning. Instead of apricot jam, I got raspberry jam. Otherwise breakfast was the same again.

Please post your recent experiences, thänks!
CDG-HEL yesterday:

- Cold smoked reindeer, marinated red onion and parsley oil
- Chicken Masala Bombay in curry sauce, Indian spicy vegetables and rice
- Daim chocolate cake (it wasn't a cake, it was just ridiculous)

My partner and I felt still hungry after this. Were thinking how the chief of cabin would react if we ask leftovers from Economy.

Off-topic but did you visit the lounge at CDG? I'll visit there soon and haven't found that much information about it so it would be nice to hear comments on it.

It's not great, but it's still better than your typical DC-grade lounge. It is also a lot quieter than the air side. With the closure of terminal 2B, all the no-frills SleazyJet customers have migrated to 2D...

Note that it is on the land side. And it does not seem that it will change when the terminal renovation completes. Luckily, you can use priority security at terminal 2D.

Merci! Picture is always the best way to illustrate airline meals
, this actually looks nice!

I'd prefer Daim over the vacuumed "space cakes" with best before
dates usually T + 2 years (thanks to the preservatives).

As Courmisch mentioned, there isn't so much to write home about. Snacks are very poor (potato chips and sandwiches) but drinks are pretty good. They also have a decent selection of newspaper and magazines, including Finnish Helsingin Sanomat and Ilta-Sanomat. A/C didn't work at least yesterday. It was like sauna. One of the worst lounges in Europe, I would say.

I would still like to know how a SFML would be on a short-haul flight. Such as if its a hot meal flight where the seafood meal is hot etc.

I gave feedback and both my partner and I received 5000 AY+ points as a compensation, plus a reply where they told how the food is prepared in their modern and hygienic kitchen. Surely, these "cakes" has been prepared somewhere else.

Here's an AVML from a recent OSL-HEL flight, the special meals as well are indeed 'lighter'.

And the menu from an EUR-HEL flight (No pic, had special meal)

Lavaret ceviché and malt bread,
Dijon sauce and dill oil

-

Beef in rosemary sauce,
mashed potatoes with mustard and vegetables

-

Raspberry cake

It was some kind of chutney or jam, it went quite well with the cheese. ^
