A350 longhaul routes
Finnair has announced that the new A350 will enter into service on certain longhaul routes. There are no one-off flights, instead each destination will be served by A350 on the announced date and onwards.
OH-LWA, was delivered on OCT 07 and will service the Helsinki-Shanghai route as soon as the familiarization program has finished and certain operational criteria have been met. Additional A350s will enter the longhaul routes as soon as they are delivered from Airbus.
A359 Long Haul destinations are:
PVG 21NOV15 - 06JAN16 04MAR16 -
BKK AY89/90 19DEC15 -
BKK AY95/96 21JAN16 - 16MAR16 03NOV16 - (operat days 456)
PEK 06JAN16 - 02MAR16 09MAY16-03OCT16 (AY52)
JFK 12JAN16 - 20JAN16
HKG 16MAR16 - (daily A350 service started 08APR16)
ICN 05JUL16 - 16OCT16 (AY42)
NRT 12OCT16 - 14OCT16 (AY74)
SIN 16OCT16 -
SGN 30NOV16 - (operat day 3)
(updated 05NOV16)
N.B!
Finnair has added a note, saying they will enforce normal ticket rules from now on. So far they have been very accommodating allowing cancellation with no penalty if you ticketed for the sole purpose of flying A350 and have gotten equipment change. They will clearly stop doing that.
I am sure I am jinxing it by announcing the list of FT'ers on A350 opening longhaul flight:
November 21th, HEL-PVG, AY57
2L: intuition

If the flight really is full, then plat member calls and requests a ticket based on seat guarantee. They will then run around like headless chickens for awhile until someone knows how to book it.
(But the flight isn't full just yet. Expertflyer says J0 C0 D0 Y3 B0 H0 G0 X0 E0. And Finnair does sell tickets openly - I can easily find "Pro" tickets on the web site. For instance 1350€ ex CPH. )

Not sure who is behind it, but it´s been quite accurate this far.
Note though that the number of days left on the left side are updated on the home page but not on the production list page.

Due to the changes in the expected delivery schedules of Finnair's first few A350 aircraft, Finnair has adjusted the schedule for starting A350 flights to Bangkok and to Beijing.
A350 flights to Bangkok start on 24 December, instead of the earlier announced 4 December
A350 flights to Beijing start on 6 Jan, instead of the earlier announced 21 November
Flights to Shanghai with A350 will start on 21 November as announced before. Start dates to other destinations will be announced at a later stage.

Yes, I just got the nice text mess abt that.
And because of the reservation of metal changes, normal conditions for changing dates and cancelling applies.
Will be quite interesting as every J seat Dec 9 through Dec 12 is booked, and 330/340 havn´t got 46 J seats...
So perhaps some pax expecting the nice new 350 J experience will be downgraded instead.
Seat map in "manage booking" still shows A350 by the way.

Extremely disappointed with AY at the moment. Heading to BKK in December with the family, and had booked good enough seats on 350. Now the plane has been switched to 330 (fine enough), but our seats have disappeared and now there are only scattered seats available. Won't work with a 3-year old daughter...
Have escalated, we'll see what AY can come up with. Called AY yesterday after hearing about the switch from 350, was told that there's nothing they can do about it yet, and today then getting told that sh*t happens, not getting seats close to each other.
Was really happy with AY after flying on 350 in October, right now very unhappy.

Do anyone of you have a preferred seat registered in AY+ account? Because the routine may be programmed to try to assign according to preference at that would lead to split up.
In any case, if they have a crappy computerized routine CS should have tools to correct it. There must be other flyers who didn't select seat and who will not be harmed by getting moved to accommodate you sitting together.
I hope they resolve it quickly!
