Finnair serves OKish wines

I know the title is an understatement. According to the Business Traveller magazine AY was awarded the shared bronze medal for the BEST-PRESENTED WINE LIST and the Gold Medal for red wine in Business class: Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2012, Marlborough, New Zealand as well as the Silver Medal for red wine in Business class: Nicolas Perrin Crozes-Hermitage 2012, France

Not a fan of NZ wines, but I admit to being a white drinker, not red.

Here's a link to the complete list:

Notice there are quite a few categories and many winners. Oneworld carriers, mainly!

Serving top wines in the air seems like a waste of the good stuff - you won't get as much out of it as on the ground. I'd prefer tho have the best wines in the lounges and the "just" good ones in the air.

Best presented wine list... does that mean that the chief of cabin is doing a good job of handing you out a nice looking wine menu? or that the wines are actually good

Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Grande Réserve. Both long and short-haul J, perfectly acceptable.
