I agree, 348 € is good value, compared to 60k points too.

If that is with 200% miles (AY Plus), yes it is a good deal.

Yeah, definitely sound good. How much is an econ ticket, 1k EUR, with biz about 4k?

If they were offering biz tix at 1,700 Euros return they would be selling like hot cakes...

I'm off to SIN in 2 weeks' time and just checked the seat assignments...the load in J seems very light on both legs so no wonder they are offering cheap paid upgrades on this route...I know it's still rather early, though..

From TLL tix are 2055 EUR, its 700-730 EUR during sales in eco, when you can upgrade for 700 EUR, its 1400-1430 EUR with eco miles though. But 66500 points more compared to eco-class points are not worth 600-630 EUR for me. of course there is a guaranteed seat vs "maybe"-upgrade.

Is the upgrade offer always available after buying a Y ticket (like BA intra-Europe) or do you have to wait for an invite?

Also, what fare bucket do cash upgrades go into? Thinking about this for status earning purposes.

You can always try to upgrade with points, but the cash upgrade seems to be by invite only.

Original booking class, the one you have on the economy booking.
