Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.

Do not delete historical posts.

I just like to know how points have posted from the Accor promo.

I just got one post and it was not 3x as in the example posted on AY webb. It was
(base points x 1,25 ) + 2x (base points)
ie tier multiplier applied not applied to the extra award points.

How did it post for others?

My booked travel was in R if they only advice these in due time I would have bought higher classes to qualify.

But the earnings seem as intended. Last time also I got basic points + elitebonus and then 2x base points on top

I guess I over-read the promotion. They didn't mention how tier bonus would work, and in line with the AJB promo et.al the promo points are not included in tier bonus calculation. I was hoping for "triple" to be added at the end. Instead it seems it will be award points from this formula
(base points x tier multiplier) + (basepoints x (promo multiplier-1))

It seems the page is no longer there... And since our lovely wayback machine has not cached it, does anyone have a screenshot?

EDIT: I read your second post now and yes. Crap.

Something funny going on with HEL-VIE. AB code-shares on AY metal in autumn as low as 150€, lower than Finnair's own fares (flights are listed as operated by AY, not AB nor AB for AY).

Ofc, don't expect any mileage/segment credit. FlyDeal fares - 25% earning.

I had one, but threw it away since I wasn't going to fly during this promotion!

But here is the google cahce:
From 1 April to 15 May Le Club Accorhotels members have a chance to earn thousands of points when flying with Finnair.

First you earn Finnair Plus award points for your flights, which are tripled during the promotion. Please note that you need to be a Finnair Plus member and register on this page in order to receive triple points (see full terms and conditions below).

Finnair Plus award points can easily be converted into Le Club Accorhotels points online with the ratio of 7:1. This means that Le Club Accorhotels members can earn over 15,000 Le Club Accorhotels points with just a single flight.*

*For example, a return flight from Paris to Tokyo via Helsinki in Business Class normally accrues 40,000 Finnair Plus award points, but during the promotion you earn triple that amount, that is 120,000 Finnair Plus award points. Conversion ratio from Finnair Plus award points into Le Club Accorhotels points is 7:1, hence 120,000 Finnair Plus points can be converted into 17,000 Le Club Accorhotels points.

Terms and conditions
Registration period: 1 April–15 May 2016. You must register before your flight.
Travel period: 1 April–31 May 2016.
All routes operated by Finnair or Nordic Regional Airlines and marketed by Finnair are eligible for triple Finnair Plus points.
The following booking classes are eligible for triple Finnair Plus points: J, C, D, I, Y, B, H, K, M, P, T
Only registered Finnair Plus members are eligible for triple points. You must be a Finnair Plus member in order to earn extra Finnair Plus points during the campaign.
No-show or cancellation of booking does not qualify for triple Finnair Plus points.
Extra Finnair Plus points are award points and do not affect your tier point balance.
The promotion does not qualify for extra Finnair Plus tier bonus points.
Finnair Plus terms and conditions apply. Finnair reserves the right to make changes at any time.
So clearly no tier bonus on top of promo.

The big question for all of us at FT - do you get the AY+ points of those Rio flights? Needless to say "Olympic athletes" never travel in Y, right?

Was wondering about that myself, too. Couldn't really see (wasn't really looking for it either) a T&C and it did not mention the travel class anywhere...

I was told that there is only one row in business class because there seems no demand on this flight. What's mine request then?
Update: Finnair decided to open more space in J and upgraded us after the upgrade campaign ended. There are now four pax in J: us and those two who already had seats before. Two rows, i.e. eight seats are still empty. I lost 4000 points so not that much but still not very well done from AY.

Sounds like AY went above and beyond. Have you ever accomplished anything like that with other carriers?

Maybe I'm reading wkndtraveler wrong, but to me this sounds SOP. He requested upgrade despite F being zero. They nudged rev.management and they released more seats for a plat member. So far nothing out of the ordinary.

The major complaint is that they charged 10k for each upgrade and not the summer promotion 8k.
