I wanted to make reservations for 3 of my family including me, but wanted us all on the same PNR for upgrading or E+ seating. Can't do that on .bomb.
As I was boarding, I heard her say something about a $24,000 fine if any of the outsize carry-ons actually got carried on.

Other than that little bit of extremism, she handled the 2 hr + delay rather well.

This is still over a week away, but perhaps some of the experts on here can tell me what happens in a situation like this:

UA 923, IAD-DEN on Sunday, Nov 29 at 12:19 PM. Obviously that Sunday will be a heavy traffic day...here's what the fare buckets are showing:

F9 A9 C9 D9 Z9 J9
Y3 B3 E1 M2

F looks pretty wide open, both on the fare buckets as well as the seat map. Y is filling up fast...so what happens when Y gets oversold but F remains somewhat empty? Do they op-up from Y until F is full then do VDB/IDB?

In this particular case I'm sure F will fill up as last-minute travellers will have to end up buying into F to take this flight. But at any rate, I'm curious to know what the procedures are. Thanks!

On both itineraries I noticed someone in the middle seat between us despite the other aisle and middle being open on the other side in the SAME row. This happened all the time in the past, but went away as we all know. So far I've only noticed this on the A320 flights so I'm not sure what to think of it.

I have a flight SFO to ORD next Wed that was booked though work. I have a separate itinerary from ORD to FWA the same day which I bought myself to visit in-laws for Thanksgiving. Can I check a bag all the way to FWA even though when I check in in SFO I will only be checking in to the SFO to ORD flight? In the worst case I can have my wife check it as her itin is all inclusive. Also - I assume I can just print my BP inside of security without having to exit and come back through?

Both trips in Business Class

Trip One - Two of us traveling on UA928 ORD-LHR 11Nov2009 Row 6 middle and both ordered beef. Purser came by and said I'm really sorry but one of the dishes was wrapped as beef and when it was opened it was a ham sandwich. I can bring you that or the Chevre Phyllo meal from First Class. Opted for the Phyllo. Boy was that a mistake, should have taken the ham sandwich.

Trip Two - Then, we were both on UA840 SYD-LAX 18Nov2009 Row 12 HK and both ordered beef. This time, the purser came by and said I'm really sorry but both of the dishes were wrapped as beef and when it was opened it was the vegetarian pasta. I can bring you that which is hot and ready to serve now or heat up the chicken which will take about 30 minutes. One opted for pasta and one opted for chicken. They found a hot chicken and brought up the hot pasta. The chicken was warm and "hot" pasta was anything but as the parmasean did not even melt. Complained about the pasta and so requested the chicken. After a lot of waiting, the plate was brought and it was cold. Complained again and she went to re-heat it. Guess what, still came back not hot. By the time, finished eating we were over 3-1/2 hours into the flight and the rest of the pax in Upper Deck were either soundly asleep or watching their second movie.

In both instances, we were the last two pax being served.

I have tried multiple different search terms but have had no luck finding an answer for my question.

I would like to take my wife to LHR in February for her birthday in business class (SBN to ORD to LHR). I used the "Book with Miles" link on United.com. Teh first time I went through the process, I selected Business Class but forgot to change from one adult to two adults. The lowest fare available in this case is 105,000 miles per passenger. When I realized I had not selected two adults, I did it again. The lowest fare available suddenly became 210,000 miles per passenger, for a total of 420,000 miles. It is normal to double the amount of miles per passenger in this case? If I book economy, can I use SWU's or miles to upgrade us both?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. I appreciate it.
