"You could not be checked-in for this flight. Please contact our call center under 0180-5838055 (within Germany), +44 871 9459747 (within UK), 1-800-645 3880 (within U.S.A) or your local Lufthansa office."

Not very impressed! Have LH not quite got the hang of the internet thing yet?

A recent flight Budapest-Frankfurt-Los Angeles, I attempted to checkin at the business check in at Budapest, apart from the agent chatting to a colleague for over a minute when I was finally beckoned to come over I was advised that there were self check in machines available.

As I am not a frequent traveller overseas & because there also was a connecting flight to LA ,I was unsure whether a self checkin would print the boarding pass for the connecting flight.

Is this the end of service as we know it?

Why bother with check in staff if they dont want to do their job.

I wonder how they treat their economy class passengers.

I had much better experiences with United agents in the USA which in itself is rather sad.

Hi all,
I know it's a bit silly but...
I am seriously considering a HON-run in December. I am about 60k short. Any suggestions on how to do this without spending too much money will be welcome.
I can start from many places in Europe - MUC, AMS, LHR etc. And it can be either short- or long-haul as long as the miles/EUR ratio is good. I guess anything other than a Business Class is not an option anyway...

I have a few fares on my radar but your suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
