"Martinair wil aan boord van zijn passagiersvliegtuigen weer een business class service gaan bieden. Dat zegt managing director Paul Gregorowitsch van het KLM-dochterbedrijf in een interview met zakenblad FEM. Door de in 2007 geschrapte Star Class te herintroduceren kan de Nederlandse luchtvaartmaatschappij een passend product bieden aan business class-passagiers van KLM die overstappen op Martinair-vluchten."

Martinair wants to reintroduce Star Class so that they can offer C class pax transferring from KL a suitable product.

:D :D

Good idea, I guess it won't take long for WBC to deteriorate to the point where they can simply rename it Star Class anyway. ES qualified for that name long ago.

After searching for several tickets Ex-ZRH to PVG, I've come to find amazing offers of only around 410 € all incl.
Booked for 3 people yesterday, happy about the good offer I found, way cheaper than anywhere else. (Yes I know it will be the 747-Combi without any entertainment, but who cares with such a fare)

Today I check out their website again to find out they've lowered the price another 60 Euro... damn you KLM! 350 € for a R/T to asia with 4 segments... you're robbing yourself with this! I never thought I'm going to complain about a 410 € fare but here it comes: KLM, how do you dare to go so low? :D:mad:;)

Seriously, how can they offer fares so low? When fuel was on 30$ or so couple month ago, LH had fares of around 420€ to Asia, on which they barely made any money with. Now, KLM goes much lower with fuel costing double... How is this working? They even get me 25% miles. (And for 4 RT's, I would qualify for Silver due to segments :D )

Hello all!

I've just booked an award seat BHX - DXB for August through Flying Blue. The outbound sector is with AF in J and this allowed me to select seats.

The return sector on KLM in WBC has not given me the option to select seats, even through MMB. All this was booked through the AF site / Flying Blue which, I guess, is perhaps why I cannot select seats on KLM metal.

Is there a way round this or a number I can call in the UK to book specific seats?

Thanks as ever!

Dear all,

I will soon be flying from China to Europe in KLM WBC and have the option of flying either from CTU on a 772 or PVG on a 744. I've only flown KLM WBC once before, on a 772, I believe, on AMS-IAD and thought it was quite decent. No experience of KLM's 747s.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether I should prefer one over the other? According to the Aircraft and Seating Guide, the 772 has more recline than the 744—are the 772 seats indeed better? Or does the 772 feel more cramped due to the 2-3-2 layout vs. the 744’s 2-2-2? Is service perhaps likely to be better on the more competitive PVG route? Does anyone have experience of the lounge facilities at CTU?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have never heard of this before. Are there other ST C lounges where you have to pay for coffee?

I should clarify that it seems that the lounge in use currently at MEX T1 is not ST's, as it is borrowed use while the Aeromexico lounge is being constructed or refurbished. Nonetheless, it is not the fault of pax that is happening, and I would not normally expect to pay for coffee at an ST lounge, so would not expect it if I have to use a different lounge because of operational reasons.

Note to moderators: The link given in this post is in the FB section, and that thread should probably be here or in AF as it has nothing to do with FB really.

Hi all!
'
I've done a search for this question but couldn't find the answer in the forums or the KLM web site.

I'll be flying to londen next friday (13th of november), but i still have to book the tickets. For the AMS-LON leg there is a fare of €99 but some of my friends can't make it to the airport in time. so now it looks like we're stuck to a ~€200 fare for the first part. the return flight is available for €100 on at a decent time.

Now i was wondering if it would be posible to use miles for the AMS-LON leg, and still get the €100 return leg fare...

A one way ticket back would cost me about €250 so it wouldn't make much sense to use miles and a one way ticket back.

So basicly it comes down to this question: is there a possiblity to pay one leg of a return ticket with miles?

I can't find anything on the website, would calling the PE booking line help?
