Hello.

I am travelling on EK3/EK4 next year and booked the flights in First Class for the A380 experience. However, last week I noticed that initially EK3 switched to a 773ER but EK4 remained the A380. I spoke with Emirates to express my dissatisfaction (I know they're perfectly allowed to but I'm quite annoyed as I picked them purely for the A380). Now, EK4 has also changed to the 777.

Is it likely that they'll change EK3/EK4 to a 777 without private suites in First as that'll be an even bigger change in product? Do they use the A380 as a selling tactic with no intention of actually using it on EK3/EK4?

If anyone has an experience of First on a 777, I'd be grateful to hear from you.

Many thanks,
I'd like to schedule a J flight DXB-DEL-DXB.. and would like to make use of the arabian airpass.

Once in DEL the plan would be to purchase in Y a DEL-DXB with a final return to DEL in a year or so.. the final return leg will be skipped.. this is purely to qualify for arabian airpass.

Now.. Is it possible to return to DXB on my original J flight.. while also qualifying for the arabian airpass offer (since I will book the Y ticket on the same flight)? or must I travel to DEL 1 way, and purchase the return.

Hope this makes sense..

I am planning to travel to Mumbai, India from New York and I have one stopover at Dubai. I'd like to visit my sister in Bahrain. When I check the Emirates site, 1 adult ticket price roundtrip from Dubai to Bahrain comes to $333.00, which is way more than our budget. Is there a way that I can travel from Dubai to Bahrain with different airlines/options with cheaper fares? My travel date is 01/15/2010 and would like to stay at Bahrain for 5 days. Any other cheaper flying options will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

If i were to book a flight from Singapore to Hong Kong (which requires a transit in Dubai), that would be considered Far East to Far East right? (and not Far East to Dubai)

Hi All,

I usually lurk around the BA and UA forums, but have found this forum very helpful for my upcoming Emirates flight. Basically, I have a few questions I would liked answered concerning my first flight with Emirates. Also it will be my first time to the Middle East! Please see my flight details below

EK0002 LHR-DXB 29 Dec A380
EK0853 DXB-KWI 30 Dec A332
EK0858 KWI-DXB 05 Jan 777-300ER
EK0001 DXB-LHR 10 Jan A380
All in Y class (I think it is a Y or U fare, or at least a higher priced economy fare)

1) What is the best non-exit row economy seat on the A380.

2) Right now I am in the front, 42A LHR-DXB, and 43K DXB-LHR....does the curvature of the plane effect seat comfort in those seats?

3) Has anyone gotten the 48 hour before departure upgrade offer email on any of these routes?

4) I talked to Emirates on the phone and quoted me a hefty price to upgrade the whole flight (cash, not miles), meaning that it is probably busy in J class?

5) Can anyone tell me what the J class availability is for LHR out/inbound? or all the flights, whichever is easiest.

6) What is your experience with upgrading at the gate/on board, any good deals?

Thank you in advance for your insights. ;)

Hi guys,
I will be making a return trip soon to JNB on EK from MAA, and will in process accumulate a little over 40,000 miles. I am looking at a reward ticket on Korean Air and I have a few questions.

I am planning for SIN-ICN-NRT (Singapore-Seoul/Incheon-Tokyo Narita).
According to skywards, Travel from South East Asia to Japan needs 40,000 miles.

1) Is it a return ticket?

2) Can I make a stop over in Seoul without having to use 2 separate reward tickets, in which case I will be short of miles. In other words, is a stop over included in those 40,000 miles?

3) Can I start from a city in a particular zone and end my trip in a different city, but in the same zone? Say, SIN-ICN-NRT-ICN-KUL (Start at SIN and end at KUL)

4) Can I choose 2 partner airlines on the same reward ticket? Instead of flying back from NRT to SIN (or KUL) on Korean via ICN, can I get a seat on NRT-SIN/KUL on JAL? If possible, how are the required miles calculated?

Answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
