I'm trying to book a flight from ICN-PEK but the site keeps saying I have a credit card error. Is this because my billing address is not in South Korea?

I was using the South Korea website because I'm in South Korea, but if I look at the same flight on the US site its 3 times the price ($360 versus $120).

Any suggestions? I'm trying to avoid going to a travel agent.

Hi, I have been meaning to post about Garudas new fleet for a while, so here it is:

In and out of CGK, SIN and HKG, GA have entered into service the new Airbus 332. This is a superb plane and the business class is exceptionally roomy. There are new blankets the seats recline to a complete lie flat and being new, the massage/refresh control works, which is nice. You will often read where GA within Indonesia is expensive and that is so, compared to the local low cost carriers but the service offered by GA should be taken into account. Arriving from Australia early, I wanted to catch a flight to JOG which was leaving in 15minutes. One moment says the CSM, sit here, and within minutes we are on a buggy to the security clearance prior to boarding with a new boarding pass. In most/all ports GA supply a small very cold mini bus for their business passengers, and when it's 38 degrees, gee that's appreciated. The lounges are old and comfortable, more dark and sombre than the *A world, but it blends in with the teak and beaten silver. It's my choice, but I am not a big fan of food left out un refrigerated, so whilst the array of food is enticing, I have yet to eat anything. Domestic flights offer a style of bun with a fish paste inside, here too, I pass, but only being a novice to the noodles on other Asian flights, maybe I will be eating these in no time:p . On all the flights so far, GA have been terrific, for convience I look foward to the newer planes on the DPS run, and to the daily BKK run. regards bkkrop

I would have thought that the mere fact the passenger was travelling on a child's fare (and also with the date of birth indicated during online booking), its deemed that a childs meal is required. However this does not seem to be the case, a child's meal is treated like a special diet meal like vegetarian, kosher etc

Please let me know of your experiences with other Asian airlines.
Thanks

I checked in at LHR last Friday (13th) and found that Eva now have AA as their handling agents at LHR and no longer Air Canada.

This meant that VIPs use the American Airlines Admirals lounge instead of the SAS London lounge, I am not sure if PL passengers get to use the AA First class lounge, I fear not.

The lounge is being refurbished and no showers for the time being, I thought that the SAS was better, maybe because I have not yet got used to the Admirals lounge, this lounge appeared quieter, possibly because it is used more in the mornings for the transatlantic traffic.

No doubt more reports will follow.

PBAir has suspended all flights until further notice. (The buzz out there is that all their aircraft were leased, and the contracts ran out.) So who knows whether they'll fly again.

Naturally, my wife had tickets to fly with them during a trip to Thailand next month, and this messes with our plans. Also naturally, this whole thing is resulting in lots of "Thailand moments" such as trying to call the airline and getting a prompt to "press 9 for English," which is then followed by a message that "the extension does not exist." (Fortunately this is a rare instance in a Thailand-related quagmire where I have a small way to impose some order on the chaos: I went ahead and disputed the charge for the tickets with my credit card company.)

If you were planning to fly with them (such as to take your Thai wife up-country to visit family...) then you might want to make other plans...
