Would rather get out for a bit than stay in the RRC in SAN (though I haven't been in that one yet) Did a search and looks like taking the bus to Seaport Village is a good bet. I was hoping to maybe make it to the beach on Coronado or Mission Beach, but it looks like I wont have time and taxi rt to Coronado is too $$.

Anyone have any other suggestions? The weather looks like to be a glorious day!

Has anyone ever used this group?

http://www.symg.com/index.php

I saw them listed in an article on CNN. I thought this might be an upclose way to see Yosemite than just the day trip for SF and wonder around on my own.

game starts at 1:00 p.m. I've seen drive times from
55 min to upwards of 1 &1/2 hours listed on mapquest,
AAA etc. Although I know one can't predict wrecks, etc, but anyone have an opinion on the time needed for this trip on a Saturday afternoon in Nov? Is there a good chance
we'd miss a chunk of the 1st period?

Hi

Planning a trip for May 2010
I have 7 days (not counting the day i fly into LAX or out of Seattle) to drive from LA to Seattle.

Would appreciate any thoughts / comments on places to see / stay. Current thought is a drive up the coast with a side trip to Yosemite but nothing is fixed except the flights into LA (from Sydney, Aus) and out of Seattle (to Washington DC)

Thanks in advance :)

David

Hi,

I am planning a road trip from Vegas to Napa Valley. In all, I have 5 days free. Since the length is over 10hr drive, I plan to stopby other cities along the way. I plan to be in Napa for 2 full days (you think this is enough for first time visitor?) while remaining 3 days will be on the road. I wonder if FT experts can recommend me cities which I should overnight along the way? (both to and from Vegas)

Thank you.

I would love to stay at this inn (Honor mansion in Healdsburg, CA), but the prices for the weekend I am looking for start at 375/night. Is it worth it for an inn? Any promos I can take advantage of? This is my birthday weekend, so I would like to stay at a really nice place. 3 nights. Property looks great and heard fantastic reviews on the innkeepers...but price seems too steep...
I have very high standards when it comes to service (unfortunately got spoiled in many wonderfull travels we've done around the world), so I normally choose the best place to stay and coordinate all my travel plans around it (sounds crazy, I know!)....

I arrive in LA on my way from London to Sydney and have 3 nights 4 days to relax - I do not want to do any tourist things as I have been many times.

What would a resident do with 3 nights accepting that I do not want to travel too far:rolleyes:
