The unions of four ANA subsidiary airlines have threatened to take 24 hour strike action commencing 00:00 hours (Japan Standard Time) on November 18 (Wed), to express dissatisfaction with the management stance in their winter round of talks.

Air Nippon, Air Nippon Network, Air Next and Air Central will continue urgent negotiations with the unions to avoid a strike. However, should it go ahead, a significant number of ANA domestic flights will regrettably be subject to cancellation and/ or delay.

Passengers intending to take ANA domestic flights on November 18 are kindly requested check the status of their flights with the ANA Reservations Center (0120-029-709[toll free]/0570-029-709[Charged]), on ANA SKY WEB (www.ana.co.jp/eng) or by contacting their nearest ANA branch.

ANA and its sister companies extend their sincere apologies for the inconvenience this will cause to customers and appreciate their understanding and patience.

*Air Nippon, Air Nippon Network, Air Next and Air Central operate flights under the ANA flight code.

I booked ANA's round tickets from ATL(Atlanta,US) to XMN(Xiamen, China) connecting at IAD and NRT.

The flight in first leg will stop at NRT 15:30 and the first possible next flight operated by ANA to XMN is at the next day. The same situation will happen when I take the round trip back to US.

I think this is a situation of forced overnight stopover in NRT, and I know that NRT is close at night.

Is that possible I can ask for free night hotel from ANA? I called their customer service in US. A guy told me ANA does not provide free hotel night for transit at NRT. But I found some information on Internet said ANA could provide this free night hotel if the overnight stopover is forced.

I don't want to enter Japan if it is possible. So if ANA do not provide free hotel, is that possible I can ask them to change my tickets for transit at PEK or PVG to XMN for free. In fact, they have flight to PEK or PVG after 15:30 at the same day.

Thank you for reading my questions.

I am currently scheduled to fly JFK-NRT-JFK in Club ANA (Business Class) in about 2 weeks. As I purchased the ticket via United, with a United flight number, ANA won't let me choose my seats in advance, and United assigned me to the only available seat in the only row they were allocated: 16C, the last row of Business Class, in the rear mini-cabin. I've checked expertflyer, and it seems there are no other aisle seats available. My question is, based on the experience of the members in this forum, whether there are significant disadvantages to that row. In other words, is it less private because of the adjoining economy cabin, and is the service sparser in any way?

Many thanks in advance for your time.

I am assuming that the 763 C seat is a cradle seat with about 60 inches of pitch, however per seatguru there is a version of the 763 in a 2-2-2 config up front, would they really use this on a 7 hour flight to SIN?

Is there a chance that the 777 would be a lie flat seat or would it likely be a cradle seat as well?

Also, how does the AVOD compare to AC / NZ?
Thanks for the hel
