1. In October I received an email stating that I was 700 points away from my Platinum status. By end of October the website suddenly stated that I needed 4000 points. I emailed the customer service and got the message I would get a reply within 48 hours. Well, I am still waiting. After returning from a 4 day stay in NYC at Novotel (crappy unlike other Novotels) my account stated 8000 points till Platinum. It seems Accor is playing a nasty game here.

2. I stayed at Sofitel in BKK before and still fighting to get my rewards. Overall it seems that there is no common management of your status level and the A-Club policies with Accor hotel chains.

Its, therefore, time to utilize the internet to show Accor executive management that they have to work on the program or they will start to lose a lot of loyal customers. The hotel is pre paid (FLEX-) which is fine and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the following:

1. Will I be able to pay for any other services (drinks, restaurant etc) with Accor vouchers by putting everything on the room and pay with these when checking out?

2. What if the bill is EUR 30 and I pay with a EUR 40 voucher? What happens to the difference? I'm not a cheap @rse and EUR 10 doesn't make much of a difference to me but would just like to know...

I'm quite sure this has been asked a few times before, but couldn't find it anywhere...

Even though certain properties don't specifically say they do not participate, contacting them individually, they do not.

Has anyone successfully used their vouchers in either of these two countries and can you kindly name which properties accepted them and if other conditions applied (ie: one response i received was that you could only apply them toward a minimum 5 night stay).

Have checked QSLD and NSW specifically.

In terms of eligible expenses it seems to count for points.

7.4.3. Eligible expenses
Eligible expenses include:
- Hotel stay expenses for the Member and one other room (a maximum total of 2 paid rooms), on the condition that said rooms are checked-in under the Member's name, that the Member stays in one of said rooms, that the second room is occupied by at least one member of his or her family, and that the Member personally pays the charges related to the room or , in the case where 2 are booked, both rooms, upon check-out.

You have to actually follow each hotel's link to see the prices. This is clumsy.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

P.S. The accor 3-day asia sale should be starting soon (see the hotel deals forum).
