I called roadside (no) assistance but after being told the wait time (and after lots of pressure), my husband managed to change the tire ourselves and put the spare on.  Well, when I turned in the car, I was required to fill in an accident report.  I was a little perplexed, because there was no accident.<br />
<br />
Am I likely to be charged for the tire, or what's the deal with this?  The car was really falling apart - oil light kept coming on, it reeked of cigarette smoke, the console was missing the cupholder inserts and was sticky and gross.  Not a good rental experience overall.  I'm still wondering what the benefit of Avis First is...<br />

I received a letter from Thomas Gartland saying they did an audit of the Continental Presidential Plus cardholders and the marketing partnership between Avis/Continental.  <br />
<br />
Presidents club was fantastic! I was regularily upgraded to Cadilac's and other nice cars.  While I'm disappointed, I signed up for it through a <a href="http://boardingarea.com/blogs/viewfromthewing/2007/11/18/free-avis-presidents-club-status/" target="_blank">link </a> Gleff provided on his site a while back.  <br />
<br />
Was fun while it lasted.  <br />
<br />
I rent over 50x a year so its going to be an adjustment going back to regular status.</div>

I know that the website verifies that the coupon code is valid for my Wizard number and name, so my co-worker couldn't book it.  I tried reserving it and then calling them to add him as a driver but they said he had to be at checkout in person to sign paperwork (I will not be able to be there to pick up the car)<br />
<br />
We do have a corporate contract as well that I could attempt to use that allows us to share cars with co-workers, but I'm not sure if that's sufficient to get around the name/wizard coupon validation.<br />
<br />
Any thoughts?</div>

There seem to be tons of coupons floating around on the Internet.  It's impossible to tell which one will yield the best results, since Avis.com seems to take virtually all of them, but gives no indication of the actual discount.  Any idea how to compare them?<br />
<br />
Also, on a related note, will the coupons always stack with any AWD code?  Should I just find the lowest AWD and then try to apply the best coupon and hope for the best?  Maybe there is a better way to go about this?<br />
