I was going to update the thread with new info. Why lock the thread just because you can't order unlimited amounts right now. You can still order coins. The thread wasn't closed every time a coin was out of stock before. I scanned all the correspondence I have from my congressional rep and the Mint and finally received the go ahead to share it only to find that the thread is locked. What a joke.

How many truly active posters on FT?

As of the moment I am writing this, FT has 223,805 members and 12,643,973 posts. That gives us an average of 56.49 posts per member -- but we have quite a few members with over 10,000 posts and even two that I can think of with over 40,000 each. ...

As of the moment I am writing this, FT has 223,805 members and 12,643,973 posts. That gives us an average of 56.49 posts per member -- but we have quite a few members with over 10,000 posts and even two that I can think of with over 40,000 each. Obviously, this sharply reduces the average of the remaining posters.

Moreover, many posters have been with FT for a number of years. Someone with 200 posts who joined 6 years ago would be averaging 33.33 posts per year.

This made me curious -- how many truly active posters do we have? (I would say that would require 100 posts per year on FT but you might set a different number.)

Hi Randy-

As busy as you are I know you don't have the time to check the various airline forums here on FT each day, but thought you would like to know a member of the AA forum has offered to put up $10,000 for an FT event for AA members in the New York area.

Have you ever had an individual FT member offer to underwrite an FT event to this extent?

I posted some questions about EF and it's ability to look for C class (upgrade inventory) on AA today, in the AA forum. I have a basic EF membership, and at some point (since EFV -- a rep of the company posted) the discussion began to center on the fact that almost every "feature" of the EF basic service plan is available for free.

Suddenly, the moderator swoops in and deletes all mention of the fact that the basic plan only really contains one feature that isn't already available for free on the internet (upgrade seat availabilty), and makes vague remarks about rude postings.

Is FT alffiliated with Expert Flyer? Or does the AA moderator have some affiliation with the company that would cause him to excise any critical, but true comments about the EF service?

I subscribed to EF because of the posts by their reps on the AA forum (apparently they have some special dispensation to advertise by way of comments). But the problem is the "features" listed for the basic plan are very misleading. I know it's not FT's job to make that clear, but this is where people come for information. Perhaps some posters would like to know this about EF prior to spending money on a basic plan. At least one other poster said it was good information to have (but their post was deleted as well).

Just wondering what the policy is. I don't see anything in the T&C that makes it against the rules to point out experiences with this type of FF product.
