Is it rude for bloggers to put h/t at the end of article?
Pretty sure every travel blogger has one of these keyboards:
It seems that even the top bloggers are highly dependent on non-original content. Any time you see a headline about a $285 international fare... you can expect a hat tip to The Flight Deal at the bottom of the page, you know after the blogger has had a chance to work in 3-4 referral links and all the banner ads. It's not very often the writer credits the person before the start or in the body of the article.
So why is it not common courtesy or standard practice to credit at the start of the article?

Backlinks are very important for successful SEO. The hat-tip links provide a greater benefit for the linked blogger, and so to them that backlink is probably worth more than receiving mediocre credit at the bottom of an article - especially if it's from a popular blog.
