First time attendees

I'm looking forward to attending for the first time! Any advice for newbies to get the most out of the weekend?

Don't be shy. Start talking to anyone/everyone. I was a first timer last year and while a bit daunting, once you start chatting with a few folks, you'll feel right at home and learn so much!

I'd recommend staying onsite as well, it'll be easier for interactions.

I'll be there. Howieeee is going to do the credit card session and I'm gonna sit back, relax and hang out with old friends and fellow travel hackers.

Literally just updated the thread --- see first page of the thread. La Quinta ORD is the overflow. I don't have a booking code to use, so book directly with the property. if / when I have one it'll get posted.

I'm looking forward to attending my first seminar, maybe put some faces with the names I've been reading for a while now.

On a side note - I live verrry close to the seminar location, so if anyone has a specific question, I'll be happy to try and answer.

Talking

Hi All,

Excited to be going to this event as a relative newbie. The only talk that was greyed out that I'm especially interested in attending because I expect to use it heavily for a planned 2017 trip is the ExpertFlyer session. If anyone is already signed up for that but interested in swapping, I'd be appreciative.

Kind regards,

Charles

As an idea, look at getting SPG BIZ card. Meet spend and check the Sheraton close to the HI is only 3-4k points per night (your card will cover those nights w/many points left over). Plus, you get lounge access with the biz card for free breakfast.

Hotel is decent and all rooms are mini-suites.

Is there a minimum age?

Rene, was also looking at the 'Sheraton Suites'. Would not mind using 6,000 star points earned from Delta!
