I don't read any blogs, including those 3 or yours. But everyone talks about them. You can search and find my distaste for blogs.

Also, I just saw a TV commercial for the CHASE Sapphire Preferred that jncluded quotes from blogs not discussed in this thread. But, you're right Chase doesn't have affiliates.

My theory is sound.

But you know what they're all writing about?? This story line is getting more and more bizarre with each reply.

Chase has plenty of affiliate links. Some writers skew their content to drive more business (even I do that, though it is different business). Neither of those is particularly surprising. But neither of those mesh with the initial assertion, either.

Looks like we'll be treated to another VFTW Maldives trip report when GL flies there in Ethiad Residences class for 90,000 AA miles after December 1. ^

Either way, according to the thought leader in travel it's 'the single most aspirational award product in the sky'. So....

This is the single most aspirational award product in the sky. The upper deck of the Etihad A380 has just a single aisle. There’s a shower onboard.
and fewer seats than EK A380

hes giving the data hes using

hmm >
EK A380 has 1 shower per 7 pax. EY is 1 for 9.
im thinking all that matters is number of seats - if same number of seats, im thinking second aisle would be better.
but it is the newest product and does have some other things

my opinion - SQ A380 double bed beats shower. they were first to do it, and its available via award unlike Residence.

Eithad F on the A380 is an excellent product. To be honest, I think I might prefer it to SQ F in terms of seating - there was something about the SQ suite that didn't quite do it for me.

What Etihad does have a problem with is wine. I priced up the wine list after my recent trip - the J stuff is £10 ($15) retail and the F stuff just £20 ($30) retail. Due to UK alcohol tax, you should not compare with a $30 US bottle either.

Right on cue, The Thought Leader in Travel provides his perspective on the PH Maldives (again): http://viewfromthewing.boardingarea....-even-like-it/
