Ads for selling your miles on BA

I was quite surprised to see an ad on Boarding Area offering to pay $1300 for 100,000 Delta miles. Very poor form if you ask me.

It is unlikely that BA is intentionally serving those ads. Probably just someone targeting those placements through the various exchanges or AdWords or whatever they run for their banners.

You can't control these things.

There are some ads advertising, basically, prostitutes who will go on holiday with you, which slip through the adult filters because of the way they are written, eg 'Travel Girls'.

Travel Girl = prostitute? I never would have guessed. In fact, there's a rather simplistic magazine called Travel Girl that is sometimes distributed free in DL lounges, for example at DCA.

No way! Delta will gladly sell you a very nice ham sandwich for 100,000 miles (mustard is extra).
