CPC has nothing to do with the JP Morgan Private Bank, which is an entirely separate operation with a significantly higher relationship requirement. As a JPM PB client, I am not charged any incidental or nuisance fees by the bank and even get a free safe deposit box at a branch. It's a very different banking relationship.
Can get CPC with $1,000 as well.
CPC also has no nuisance fees and can also get a free safety deposit box.

Wow. The bar is even lower than I thought. Not much exclusivity in having CPC apparently.

There is no balance requirement for CPC. With $250K you're in automatically, but people have CPC without any balances.
It's all about your relationship with a Chase banker.

$1000 seems an awful high adult beverage budget just for CPC .

Yes, Ben is the only one excited about the CSR. As we can see here on FT, no one, absolutely no one, has been talking about it: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...22-2016-a.html

Whoa! Did a "normal traveler" thing just happen to Ben?

Well, almost.

He just paid $250 for an LA-Vegas round trip because of schedule and timing constraints, which is a lot for such a short flight -- basically full fair.

Now if only he hadn't also earned 75,000 bonus points, he'd have been . . . just like me.

He did so to earn the 75K bonus, and as with most of us (including myself), he did the MR when it would have the least affect on his work/life.

I don't think a "normal traveler" would be doing MRs to earn bonuses. But I realize out here we have a different definition of a _normal_ traveler.

I don't think many people are excited about the card, mostly the signup bonus. The churners and burners.

And the bloggers who have an affiliate link.

Actually you ain't seen nothing yet. I don't think any site other than TPG has direct affiliate links to CSR.

You should read the thread then. Plenty of people want to keep the card (myself included, the $55 more compared to the CSP makes it a steal just on 3x dining and travel, even not considering stuff like lounge access or better travel insurance - and since I'm at 20/24, I didn't get the 100k UR points unfortunately, had to upgrade from the CSP, making $150 on the process for now).
Do you really think a card that generates more than 100 pages of discussion in a week has no one excited? Yeah right.

I haven't seem an affiliate link on OMAAT in the dozen or so posts about the CSR, but feel free to let us know where did you find it!

Dozen? He made a blog entry on Aug 22 and 24, the former has the following creditcards.com affiliate link in it. Like in the links for the CSP.

Code:

Just on the last weekly review there's at least 8 posts about the card (links below, I might have missed some, don't know, don't care, there's certainly more than 2). He had also talked a few times before that about the card, so probably it has been more than one dozen, but I'm not counting (I only knew he talked about it a lot this past week, so I figured dozen or so would not be a bad bet).

It was the first time I clicked on those weekly review posts, but apparently they're useful for something!

About the affiliate links, when I first read the articles they were not affiliate links (I tried). He probably went back and replaced them afterwards (I don't read blog posts more than once). I found it rather strange he does include the card on the sidebar though. I thought it was not there because there wasn't an affiliate link yet, but if there is one, don't understand the reason.
