Tacoma, Washington is truly "Glass City" and the Murano Hotel is certainly part of the magic! The hotel maintains a large and varied collection of glass artwork therefore melding a hotel with a glass museum. 

Hotel Murano is a lovely boutique hotel that provides a truly special stay. We were immediately wowed by the hotel despite our 1AM arrive due to flight and traffic delays.

The room was comfortable and quiet even though it was located near the elevator.

In the morning, we had fun checking out the glass artwork created by notable artists. Breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was flavorful and just what we needed before touring the city. There are healthy options on the menu which was a comfort.

Location

Hotel Murano is located near Tacoma's museums thus making it a great launching point for your visit. Tacoma is the hometown of famed glass artist to Dale Chihuly. Visits to the Tacoma Art Museum and Museum of Glass will treat you not only to his works but the process of glass blowing as well. Not to be missed---the Glass Bridge created in partnership with Chihuly. All of these are withing walking distance of the hotel.

Overall

The Hotel Murano certainly helped make our trip to Tacoma one of our favorite excursions to date. The hotel is not only unique but service is wonderful and the accommodations are just what this family of three needed. We will not hesitate to return!
