Eva Rimowa Amenity Kit & Champagne Update Thread

Did Rimowa hand out a rimowa amenity kit on your recent long haul flight?

What color was it?

Which champagne was served?

A thorough search of the forum doesn't seem to turn up any *recent* posts on these questions of great import, so I though I'd start one.

Also I have a long haul segment in BR coming up (TPE-SFO) in two weeks and am curious what I might expect!

Many thanks to all!

It's possible to buy champagne, travel sized toiletries, and a small pouch for less than $100 at Walmart. Are these really "important" questions?

Important compared to what, exactly?

I doubt anyone seriously thinks we are discussing matters of global importance here.

That being said I feel compelled to point out that an airline which regularly serves Krug's Grand Cuvee in *business* class, and distributes Rimowa branded amenity kits in *business* class, is clearly making an effort to differentiate itself from the competition.

For those of us who enjoy the details and are fortunate enough to have a choice when it comes to booking long haul international airline travel, I dare to say that the "extras" (food, drink, amenity, pajamas, etc.) do indeed make a difference.

Importance is in the eyes of the beholder. Go to an airline collectibles show and you will understand somewhat

If you had an extra half day to burn, fly JAL to NRT and take the short jump to TPE and drink Salon.

It's a fine suggestion; I had a NRT-LAX segment in JL 1st in March and am very much looking forward to another one coming up in September.

The Salon tastes even better at pre aadvantage devaluation prices!

JFK seems to get BR preferential service/accommodation from BR because they are the longest route.
