Joining a train at a stop after that ticketed

Hi all

A while ago I bought a ticket from Cannes to Venice on Thello. I now want to join the train at Nice, a stop after Cannes. Will I have any problems with this or will I need to catch a train to Cannes and start my journey from there? The ticket is non-changeable.

Thanks!

Shouldn't be a problem. The conductor may ask you why, and you can tell them the reason

It shouldn't be a problem, as long as the train is scheduled to stop at Nice.

Your seat reservation might have been taken by someone else
