Upgrade from First Class to Premium Class on RailJet

I have First Class roundtrip paper tickets on RailJet between Munich & Salzburg. I would like to upgrade to Premium Class. Is there a way to upgrade in advance or can this only be done at the train station? I would have just booked Premium Class to begin with but I did not even have an option to. It just showed coach and First Class and coach.

I've always done it on the train, although you may be able to do it at Munich station. Note that the Germans will charge you €27.50 for the one-way supplement instead of the €25 advertised everywhere.

Premium is much better than First in my opinion, but personally I don't think it's worth it for such a short journey.

Does first class get complimentary food?

No. You have to pay for bistro menu items, which can be ordered and served at your seat.

I recall getting some sort of hot snack for free, but then I opted to purchase some more food for a fee.

All you can drink champagne is free, just be careful not to spill it on coach passengers when the train goes around a turn if you choose to explore the coach section.

You get all this in Premium class - not in First class. In First class you might get a (very) small carton of orange juice and a small chocolate bar for free, if you're lucky - that's it.

The "champagne" is Prosecco, by the way, but not bad at all.

First Class to Premium

I already booked First Class for Münich - Wien, Wien-Zürich, seat number and coach, everything. Is there any way to upgrade to Premium in advance? or does it necessarily have to be done at the station?

It is basically the same question that started the thread, but i would like to be certain.

Thank you in advance!

There are no "Premium" Service longer. The premium was adjusted. You can Pay 15€ on Train.
There are no Food, Drinks inkludet just "the Seat".

Ans yes you can Book a Seat: https://ticket.oebb.at/bin/jticket.p...KOPF=1&LANG=EN
