My apologies for posting this but I was sure I saw on one of these forums a link to a page that gave a code for a upgrade in class on the Eurostar using, I believe, an AMEX card. I actually found the page with the code effective through the end of the year but I've lost it and can't find the original post/link. And yes, I've searched all the appropriate forums here; I've done a google search; I've looked at the Eurostar and other rail sites. After all, I'm a librarian and do know how to search the internet, but all to no avail. If I'm not crazy and I wasn't dreaming this, could someone point out the link to this offer again. many thanks!
You dreamt it. No such codes exist for any promotion as far as I know.
What you probably saw was a post that said that Platinum Amex charge card holders can get access to the Eurostar lounges in London and Paris, even if travelling Standard or Leisure Select.
Maybe -- dreamt it is always a strong possibility -- although I generally read things quite carefully. Regardless, thanks for the reply and if anyone else finds this dream was actually real: Speak up!
Well, you could try adapting the URL that appears when you do online seat selection. It's rather easy to get it to allow you to choose a seat in whatever class you like. No idea if you'd get away with it, though, I've never had the gall to try it...
