Question Air France / Flybe partnership

I have often travelled from Paris to Southampton, UK. I usually travel on AF tickets as I get FB miles, although it is operated by Flybe. It appears that since KLM now fly to Southampton; the only option to travel between Paris and Southampton on an AF ticket is via AMS (which is stupid). AF and Flybe are still code-share partners but not apparently on the Paris to Southampton route! Does anybody know why this has happened? Will the situation change? I want to travel in July but not with Flybe tickets and I hoping the situation may change! Advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to FT. Your question would probably be better answered in the Flying Blue section of the forum, mostly because it is airline related ^
