car rental in Romania (Bucharest OTP)
I need to rent a car for a few days in the summer. Loo
Admittedly it has been a while since I rented in Europe, but looking at the CDW/TP excesses they all seem excessive (1000+ Euro).
Does Romania have a bad (or good) reputation for car hire companies charging money for every nick and scratch ?

I rented from 3 different companies in Romania and never had trouble. I have had some issues in other nearby countries when I did an after-hours drop off before an early morning flight. So I would say to avoid that situation.
