Schengen Visa
I'm sorry if there is already a thread like this, but I either can't find the information I need or it wasn't clear.
I am traveling with a touring group to several countries in Europe and I depart on July 4th (in 38 days). I have a United States permanent residency card (green card) and I need to apply for a schengen visa. Although I'm traveling to several countries, I will be staying the longest in Italy so as far as I know, I should be applying at the Italian consulate. The problem is, the earliest appointment available at the San Francisco Italian Consulate is on July 29th which is long after I'm supposed to depart. Do they ever accept applications through walk-ins, without an appointment since there are none available before my trip? Please please I need help, has anyone ever had a similar experience? Thanks for your time.
