Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands visits London every week..how?
I have read that the soon abdicating Dutch Queen Beatrix flies to London every week to visit Prince Friso who is currently in a London hospital in a coma after an avalanche incident in Austria a year ago.
I was wondering if anyone knew how she gets to London every week so descretely? I am currently tracking a Dutch Government Jet flying on Flightradar24 that has just taken off from RAF Northolt in West London on route to Rotterdam and was wondering if this is how she gets to London? Will she fly into Northolt every week on a Dutch Government Jet, get a police escort to the hospital, and then return on the same day and fly into RTM to avoid being spotted or whatever at AMS??? Anybody know? |

How many average Londoners would recognise her if they saw her? I know I wouldn't. |
I don't know either way. But I am guessing the military or government plane is the likely answer. She is Head of State, right? I'd also imagine that the royal family can afford their own plane even if it's just a small private jet.

I expect she just flies KLM to Heathrow.

Why would she be spotted at AMS or LHR? If she does take a commercial airline, she probably gets driven directly to/from the gate, maybe boards last and deplanes first. Heads of state don't have a passport after all..

She will definitely travel by government or private plane, and most likely from RTM which is closer to her The Hague home / palace than AMS is.

Remember the Queen of Spain does (or certainly has) flown Ryanair for travel in a private capacity, and before the austerity times.
Plenty of heads of state and royalty travel by commercial air services all the time. Sometimes you'd never spot them though.... |

bill clinton and jfk both spent a lot of time wandering the hotels of dc. neither were ever discovered.

Here is a picture of the Dutch Government owned jet at NHT on a previous visit
http://www.airplane-pictures.net/pho...ent-fokker-70/ Apparently it is usually crewed by a selected KLM crew Pretty sure this will be Queen Beatrix's mode of transport Here is some more Information on the plane http://www.airshows.org.uk/2012/airs...ot-review.html It is used by the Dutch Royal Family and high ranking Dutch politicians |
Just wondering what is preventing the son/prince from being transferred back to the Netherlands?

Plus he is in a world renowned private hospital in London where many of the world's wealthy sick are treated. |

However the Queen always fly Privately.
I'm not talking about charters of aircraft from commercial operators, I'm talking about flights with other paying passegners on board. (Air New Zealand). Although it was a complete bookout of the cabin, and also seat plan adjusted I believe. |
