Post Open ticket - how to find same class ?

Last year I put a return leg on hold because I could not travel. The ticket is now to be expired and I have the legs

KUL-AUH-MXP

which I could potentially fly until June 07.

I called Etihad and they said I can still book the return if the same booking class is available.

How can I check this ? Does it work with Expertflyer ?

I haven't tried it, but this might work.

Do a dummy booking on the Etihad website. The Fare Rules will show the Fare Basis, and the first character of that is the Booking Class.

Put in a random outbound date, as a one way return may book in a higher class and may be misleading.

Alternatively, just call them and ask what dates are available.

You can do this with iTA. Check the mileage run discussion forum.

Yes, our Flight Availability search will show you the inventory of specific booking classes on your flight. Our Flight Alerts will allow you to be alerted if the value of one of the booking classes changes, either up or down.

And if you fly more than a few times a year, EF is well worth it.
