LHR-AUH now only 1 A380 daily in Feb
Just had a 'change my booking' come in for my flight in Feb '16 and there is only one a380 rostered on this route. My a380 has been changed to a 346 so no more apartments for me! And there was Etihad telling everyone there would be 3x a380 flights a day from LHR.
Really is very poor.
SORRY meant AUH

Same here. Had a flight in late December. Switched to an a346...
First the devaluation now something like that.
There are more more reasons to collect miles (except tier miles).

Etihad now flies the A380 on all three services - EY11/12, EY17/18 and EY19/20.
However, in September, an A340 aircraft is rostered once or twice a week onto the EY17/18 and EY19/20 services.
Check before you fly

Don't believe the flight schedule/timetable pages of the Etihad website. I am on the EY17 on 18 Oct. Original itinerary shows A380, manage my booking now shows A340 and the schedule says it doesn't operate the day I am booked but will be a A380 for 4 days that week!

IN September or FROM September? With the reports here it looks more like from September.

Unfortunately that's not very useful when Etihad change things as much as they do after you've booked. I have 3 flights coming up with them and every single one has been changed in one way, with some aircraft type and others the time it arrives/departs. I've never seen anything like this with any other airline.

No bookings or specific plans to fly EY, so am not directly affected by the plethora of changes. I was however thinking of giving them a try (as a change from my usual EK choice) and this sort of stuff has certainly made me think again .....

Stick with EK. I am considering switching to them from EY. they seem to offer a more consistent product and you get limo on all business class fares.

Hear what you say.
But on the other hand ......the very latest 'incarnation' of the EY premium cabins (Business studios, First apartments) do seem to offer a superior hard product to EK's.
Have never actually flown EY, though I have seen life-size mock-ups of the EY cabins at a travel industry fair, and was impressed by the space & privacy.
Meanwhile I believe (?) EK are close to launching a revamped product of their own .......

I agree but there is no guarantee that you will actually end up with the new product. Even if it shows at the time of booking there is a very good chance it will change by the time you fly. Looking out to next year the 3 LHR flights are showing various combinations of A380, A346 and B777 on any given day, rather than the all A380 with the new product they advertise.
