AUH T3 "US Premium Lounge" (after US Preclearance)
Etihad recently opened its "US Premium Lounge" in AUH T3, located by gates 58-61 (after US Preclearance). Has anyone visited this lounge, or does anyone know how it compares to Etihad's other "Premium Lounge" in T3, located by gate 35?
Etihad posted about the US Premium Lounge on its blog last month:
It sounds like the US Premium Lounge has fewer amenities than the Premium Lounge (e.g., no spa, no showers), so perhaps passengers should spend more time in the Premium Lounge before passing through US Preclearance. Do others agree? It would be great to get reports from anyone who has visited.

I flew from AUH for the first time last weekend. I did not use the Premium lounge in the area pre-immigration/pre-US Immigration clearance.
However I did use the lounge near gate 61. It is a small lounge, comfortable with no fancy interior. I found there basic snack foods and drinks.

I actually got back from AUH yesterday, and spent time in both lounges. The lounge after Preclearance has significantly less amenities than the main lounge. If you've got enough time prior to departure, definitely worth spending time in the main lounge before heading over to the one after preclearance. As you mentioned, the main lounge has showers, spa (complimentary 15 min treatment), hot/cold spread (x2), full bar (x2), dining area (x2), business center, individual TV stations, and more. The only thing is that it gets a bit crowded at times, but it's not a dealbreaker. As hxhbk said, the preclearance lounge is much smaller with just basic snacks and drinks (no alcohol, if that matters).

Thank you for flying with Etihad.
Please be advised that the US Premium Lounge is for the First and Business guests to use after having cleared U.S. Immigration and Customs.
You can spend your stay in the Premium Lounge before immigration and the US Premium Lounge can provide you a place to unwind before boarding and we also have comfortable seating and light refreshments.
We look forward to meeting you on board. *JS

Do you like our new US premium lounge or would you like to share with us your feedback to enhance the flight experience?
Thank you. *JS
