Etihad A380 Business Studio Review?
Folks, I'm traveling on EY in late May on the LHR-AUH-DEL sector and wanted to check if anybody has reviewed the business studio product on the A380 yet?
I have read plenty of F reviews, but none in J unfortunately. Would love to know your experience. Thanks

As promised, here are my thoughts on Etihad A380 business class:
- Brilliant seat with lots of shoulder room and more room in the footwell compared to the existing business class seat.
- Excellent storage options (especially the side bins at the window seats).
- Great connectivity and charging options (free WiFi code for the duration of the flight and I managed to listen to BBC iPlayer radio (through my headphones) and charged my laptop and 2 Apple devices through the USB slots).
- As before, service delivery was hit-and-miss with the usual "well-intentioned" but "poorly-delivered" variety of random service - If I say I would like to start my lunch at 4pm UAE time, should I expect to chase the crew at 4.30pm to check where my lunch is? Also, if you give your choice of preferred wine to go with your meal selections, it would make sense to bring it with the food (after 10 minutes of waiting for a glass of white wine to accompany my starter, I gave up and hunted down the forgetful crew member).
- The lounge/bar area is very nice but seems to lack the easy sociability of what I imagine the EK A380 bar is like.
Overall, I was very impressed with the hard product. Maybe it is too much to expect consistent service delivery from such a rapidly growing airline...

Thanks for the review, hopefully EY can not follow the path of EK whose service is now amongst my least favourite in J class
EK in F are always great but in J it almost feels like Y class service

Thanks for those notes Workshy
1) How was the seat to sleep? I'm guessing you caught the 9am flight out of LHR
2) You think the service was lacking due to cabin crew being overworked due to a large biz cabin or early days in the aircraft?
3) Any idea which champagne they serve?
Thanks

I didn't need to sleep but the seat would have been a lot more comfortable than the older EY J seat (felt a lot less narrow across the shoulders). As for the random service delivery, I am not entirely sure. However, I have had this issue a few times before and I think it is down to too few crew trying to serve dine-on-demand to too many people.

For example they have 3 crew on the 22 J seat 332's. So thats the Cabin Manager, one crew for the galley and the other to do service.
The CM has a lot of other stuff to do hence its mostly just one doing service and the other one in the galley which is not at all ideal.
EK has 1 more and QR possibly two more for the same amount of seats.
