earning on EY metal, booked via codeshare

If I book on EY metal, but via some non-EY codeshare or other, how can I see if I'll be allowed to accrue EY Guest miles on the flight?

The ticket stock don't matter, at least in the distant past. I have seen QF stock ticket with EY flights earn EY miles.

I'm not just worried about ticket stock, but what if the EY metal flight is booked under one of the many (somewhat weird and wonderful) codeshares?

e.g. EY4 is also codeshared as GA9133, VA7004, HM5025 and AB4004

If I book this flight (as part of a longer itin, obviously) as - say - GA9133 can I credit it to Etihad Guest and still get (tier and guest) miles)?

Yes, I am 99% sure that any flight operated by EY, but booked under a codeshare, would earn in Etihad Guest - subject to the normal earning rules applying to that partner. (However, beware that you won't earn any Tier Miles when travelling under the GA flightcode).

I've not had that much experience of codeshares on EY metal yet, but I had a Virgin Australia ticket flown earlier this year (all EY operated flights were booked as VA codeshares on VA ticket stock), but in my Etihad Guest account, they all posted as EY flights under their respective EY codes. I don't know if this is unusual, or if this is standard practice (maybe only for their "close" partners, like VA/AB etc...). I certainly would not expect this to happen for a partner such as GA, for which no Tier Miles can be earned.
