They already partner with Aer Lingus and Air Berlin, so it's not unfeasible, but with QR joining this year I'd be surprised.

I can't see EY joining any alliance at this juncture, but given the current state of play, they'd be far more likely to join Skyteam than oneworld.
Willie Walsh has been comparing Etihad unfavourably against Ryanair, or at least Mo'L, in the Irish press today regarding the future of Aer Lingus
James Hogan is unlikely to find those comments helpful.

EY in OW - that, for me, would be perfect. ^
However I agree that QR's OW membership makes this seem unlikely.

Al-Baker is working on something. Earlier there were rumors of a possible merger with EK, now this story surfaces about EY being invited to join OW. Anyway funny to note how the simple mention of EY going another way is unnerving the ST crowds. And yes, on the other two groups, overlapping membership do happens and is welcome
