They already partner with Aer Lingus and Air Berlin, so it's not unfeasible, but with QR joining this year I'd be surprised.

I can't see EY joining any alliance at this juncture, but given the current state of play, they'd be far more likely to join Skyteam than oneworld.

Willie Walsh has been comparing Etihad unfavourably against Ryanair, or at least Mo'L, in the Irish press today regarding the future of Aer Lingus

I once asked out a beauty queen. Doesn't mean she went out with me.

EY in OW - that, for me, would be perfect. ^

However I agree that QR's OW membership makes this seem unlikely.

Difficult to see two strong gulf airlines with the same alliance, but then how many Asian carriers does Star have?

Even nicer if one of them had First Class on that route.

Al-Baker is working on something. Earlier there were rumors of a possible merger with EK, now this story surfaces about EY being invited to join OW. Anyway funny to note how the simple mention of EY going another way is unnerving the ST crowds. And yes, on the other two groups, overlapping membership do happens and is welcome
