I offered AUH-ORD twice, at $1250 however both times it was rejected and business class was empty, i don't understand their logic!

It's sad that what could've been a wonderful algorithm-based capability based on amongst others load factor to maximize bums on seats and earnings ended up - I suspect - as a ebay type rule engine... if offer is less than (hardcoded) reserve price, then reject!

A thread full of successful upgrades... One guy's upgrade does not clear... The obvious couirse of action: let's bash the entire system.

Sheesh...

Plain silly that comment made purely within context of that one guy's flight be inferred as "bashing the entire system".

Sheesh indeed...

Nope, still looks to me like a comment on - effectively - PlusGrade in general. But hey, if it makes you feel any better, chock it up to my limited English comprehension skills.

Etihad Jet Airways flight

Nope, still looks to me like a comment on - effectively - PlusGrade in general.

Has anyone received the upgrade offer for the JFK-AUH leg on the Etihad-run Jet Airways flight? I had no idea that the flight would be on a leased Jet Airways 77W, given the fact that I purchased the flight on Etihad's website.

KTM-AUH 4:45 105-210€

Only bid for the last leg as I need to be at work 6 hrs after the flight lands in the early morning.

Does anyone know if it's possible to request a PlusGrade upgrade on an AA-codeshare flight operated by Etihad? (AUH-JFK/ORD/IAD, for example)

Of course you can request it. It doesn't mean that you are eligible to participate. Send the email within 7 days of departure, as directed on the Etihad website.

And please let us know what they say.

I received the offer on the 11th for my trip to and fro OZ, departing tomorrow.

Three of the four legs were available, not the LHR-AUH one.

AUH-BNE Ł540-Ł720
BNE-AUH Ł540-Ł960
AUH-LHR Ł535-Ł900

I bid on one leg, AUH-BNE at the minimum.

Following the link shown on the bid acknowledgement my bid is shown as "Pending".

However on checking my tickets online the AUH-BNE leg is shown as Business.

I guess things will get sorted either later, at online check-in or Heathrow.

Well, to answer your own question, I have some VA-coded EY-operated flights next week, didn't receive any email, contacted the e-mail address asking to participate, and was eventually told that flights booked as codeshares are ineligible for the online programme, but to enquire about buying up at the airport on the day of travel.

Anyone know how much it is roughly to bid to upgrade from Econ to Business from AUH to SIN? Anyone done this lately?

Irishguy28, thanks for reporting back. That's exactly what I suspected. Any luck with the airport buy-up? (I'm skeptical even this would work)
