Information on Load requests

The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.

NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.

For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:

Flight loads >7 days out are not very useful, as the airline could still sell many seats, unless availability of a specific fare bucket (e.g. Business Saver upgrade) is requested. If you wish to know the general flight load please don't post >7 days before departure.

When requesting a load please provide the following information:

- Date of flight (departure date)
- Flight Number
- Origin
- Destination

These four fields are mandatory in searching on ExpertFlyer (see screenshot below) and it isn't fair to except those who pay for their subscriptions to also have to go look up which cities a specific flight number is from and to (also some flight numbers are onward flights (5th freedom routes, e.g. CMB-MLE) and loads will differ significantly depending on which sector of the flight is checked.

Flight Load Check request

Hi!

Would someone mind doing a load check for me on EK 192 (LISBON to DXB) on Sat 31 Dec 2016 in Y cabin.

And as a bonus advise which day +/- 1 day around this date has the lightest load.

Thanks!
JRM

So this essentially means 4 seats available in Economy Class?

Y looks sold out to me on all days.
Can you see how many people are on standby?

Basically, I'm hoping to travel standby on this route as an employee of a third party aviation company. I would like to understand my chances of getting on board!

Can you offer any more info?

Thanks,
Jim

Given how booked out the plane seems to be, I'd say unlikely.

Only EK staff can see that within 72 hours of departure. Y4 means 4 seats available for sale, this means they could already be oversold by 15 (i.e. willing to oversell by 19 total). Given the above I'd say your chances as a 3rd party staff standby would be slightly below zero, unfortunately.

Between you, me and FT, OP - there is a chance, but a slim one for the 31st and less of a chance on 30th/1st.

If the plans are critical, I would recommend a revenue ticket.

Perhaps the 1st is the best chance given the possibility of no-shows due to hangover. 2.30pm departure means a handful of people could conceivably oversleep

Eeesh. Thanks

Haha at the hangover no-show comment. I did think the same. But at the same time, I think it's even more sold.

I think you'll have a vanishingly small chance of getting on the flight on the 1st, unfortunately - even on a revenue ticket.

Any chance you can take a look again tomorrow and give me an update on my chances of standby for EK192 on 31 Jan? I'm currently booked it and it's a :| face.

Thanks!

It's oversold in Y, F is empty and J only half full. You might be able to get on as they will likely op-up.
