EK240 not bookable 10/1-11/15
Hi

Anyone know of any changes with EK240? Seems to not be bookable from 10/1 - 11/15 then is reopened from 11/16.

I am booked on it during that window and was poking around for upgrade availability but seems it isn't available for new bookings letalone upgrades.

Anyone know what's going on?

I noticed that the ability to book EK228 (SEA-DXB) has also disappeared for about the same period of time.

Strange. Any rumors floating around? Anyone have ideas why this might be?

Hoping I don't have to rebook/reroute as I already have cleared my first upgrades!

This really is annoying... am on EK239 on October 20, planned a tight work meeting around this flight. Gonna call EK now.

I even saw availability zeroed out on DXB-SIN rotations. Strange indeed

The timeframe (Oct to mid-November) coincides perfectly with the timeframe that Emirates announced LAX route using 777 instead of 380.

So atleast one of the planes (for Seattle or Boston) are likely being rerouted to the LAX route.

Assuming they didn't tell you anything worthwhile, but curious what they told you?

Confirmed: the EK239/EK240 rotation is cancelled 01 Oct to 30 Nov. Loads must not have been looking so good

I switched to the EK237/238 rotation.

Its quite surprising about loads - I would think that due to Diwali and Thanksgiving lots of folks would be going towards the middle-east for milder weather.
