Best Emirates flights for the Bar in J
I was hoping to start a thread discussing the best flights for the bar scene in J.
I mostly have experience with the DXB-LAX route, and it's pretty hit or miss. DXB-MEL was excellent on-the-other-hand.
Would love for some input...

In my opinion, it's extremely difficult to do so, as there are too many factors for judging a good bar experience.
To begin with : what's the definition of a good bar experience ?
Your expectations may vary depending on your mood, your stress, exterior weather, your partner's mood , etc. Sometimes I want to chat, sometimes I just want my drink and be left alone to prepare an upcoming meeting.
Then, it depends on the behavior of your fellow passengers. I'm quite irritated when kids are running around and jump on couches with their shoes on (especially when they come out of the lavs ... ).
Then, it depends on the crew, who are not assigned to one specific destination. And, ... they are also human beings with their good days and bad days.
So, you'd probably ask for an experience report, rather than trying to make statistics.
Personally, I never had an unpleasant experience at the bar, but at the same time, I'm not too demanding : just don't run out of macademia nuts

Not sure what a good experience means for you. I've noticed that the bar seems relatively free on fights to/ fro US, as compared to say some European destinations, with most pax either enjoying the IFE or using their tablets/ laptops. This actually suits me quite well .

As the other posters have said - it depends entirely on what you want from the bar
Chatting with interesting fellow passengers?
Flirting with the cabin crew in the bar?
Mixology?
Relaxing with your travel partner?
One on one time with the bottle and snacks?
There are though of course better flights than others for all of the above, but it really depends on the passenger mix as well - after all, you might end up with a loud holiday group on their first ULH trip and you might not like that, or you want to have a bit of a party and it's empty.
Or do you mean something like this:

Hahahaha yes the post "eternaltransit" posted seems perfect.
But what I meant by a "good bar scene" was a lively crowd of strangers talking and enjoying together.
Thanks for the input, y'all.

In the EK A380 bar area, more than so than good (cocktail) bars, I find it really does need one or two gregarious individuals to start the conversation (either crew but more usually pax) flowing and to involve people around to make it an interesting scene. Break the ice and I think people will start to open up! This is probably a post for a social skills forum rather than Flyertalk though
