Dom Pérignon in First

I was very fortunate to be invited to a dp masterclass/dinner at the burj khalifa last night for the launch of the new p2 which was stunning (I'm definitely on the right mailing list!!!). The 04 isn't that great and I'm totally over it (#firstworldproblems) Anyway with the desert we had the dp rose 03 which was truly stunning.

I've heard a rumour that this delightful rose is on selected f flights...not listed but available! No idea which routes but any frequent f flyers should definitely ask/try to confirm the rumour!

That is very cool, and yes I am jealous...

The 03 Rose is a great vintage and would be an awesome addition to the F product. On my flight to MUC yesterday, I was explaining your story to the SFS (German guy, who flies heavy Europe sectors) and he said their have been meetings all week with the Dom P. folks and select Emirates flight crew. The Rose rumor is true and he said it is not on this flight and they are not sure what flights it is on. He told me it is a luck of the draw type thing, but that Rose will be rolled out officially (on the menu) on selector sectors. They have not been told what sectors will/will not have it.

Time will tell!

You know EK doesn't have infinite money to splash and putting on MAN is likely to bankrupt the airline

Wonder if it will still be on the Australian routes at the end of October? Off to AKL then via MEL and would be interested to sample a drop

I notice Dom '05 is being introduced as of 1st Sept - looking forward to sampling this as it seems it's entering its prime drinking age. Still wish EK would ink a deal with Krug though!

It's showing up on the wine lists from Sept 1st if you check on services by flight. Will be something else to look forward to on my BHX departure in September
