@wecanfly777 am not sure what's the hype for? Your explanation ridicules the news reporting which now appears to be completely misleading.

I've flown with EK a fraction of what others here have. The approximate value of the upgrades/op-ups/miles burned in my humble case is at least 50k USD but don't see myself tattooing the EK logo, or going to the media about it. And then your pictures/video of F is only for HKG-BKK, and we all know how long of a flight and how costly that is :P

I don't know why EK uses the A380 to Hong Kong rather than its B777. I prefer the B777 as opposed to the A380, and found it to be more comfortable believe it or not!

Well, if Airbus decides to stop production of the A380 then EK will be forced to continue using B777, which is my favorite aircraft due to its generous space and comfort with EK and QR

They do still use a 777 as well

There is a flight from Dubai - Hong Kong on the 777, but from Hong Kong - Dubai is either A380 or A330

I've flown ~400k miles with EK and they have rewarded me with a whopping $0 of involuntary upgrades.

Because they have a policy of not upgrading minors!

Re-read what you've just posted.

Then think about it carefully...

There is a flaw in your logic

Quite a complex operation in HKG, rebuilding the incoming 777's to fly out as 380's or 330's.

I know that this doesn't make sense, but try searching for a flight from Dubai - Hong Kong departing 26 and returning 28 or 29..... for outbound flight there is b777 but for inbound its either A380 or A330

On Mondays and Tuesdays ex-DXB EK380 changes from an A380 to 777-300ER (so, Tuesday and Wednesday ex-HKG). The other aircraft on the route are daily an A330-200 on EK386, daily A380 for EK382 and daily A380 via BKK on EK384.

Full details available on the EK website via the weekly timetable search function.

To the person who posted a link to my video, thanks, and to the follow-up poster who said I get paid thru advertising, I don't, because I used 3rd party music, I get nothing! so click away, enjoy Emirates First Class at its very best

Whatever you do, don't try out the BA forum, as you'd be savaged by that bunch of *%^$%^£%'s.

Great. My wish for my 16th was an op-up (no joke, seriously).

When I joined Zol said it was 16 so I relied on that for the past few months...

With the new "enhancement" I will only be making Silver this year. I doubt I'm getting anything anytime soon.
