I'm confused. Are you allowed chauffeur service on award tickets or not? I know they announced you could not, but recent trip reports from bloggers suggest otherwise.

Which trip reports from which blogger's?

I read one post from this thread, but that's it.

Only on award tickets issued on EK or QF ticket stock - all other partner reward tickets are not eligible for Chauffeur Drive.

On Ben Shclappig's trip from DFW-DXB with his Dad: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.c...-class-review/

I'm assuming he used Alaska miles for the trip, but what do I know? It could also have been that it was Dubai and they have so many cars around they just couldn't care.

They have tightened things up now - your BP is scanned for eligibility. However, YMMV.

So how'd Ben get chauffeur service? That review is not that old.

Wit and charm? Maybe he didn't get it but took a picture of the cars to imply he got it? Maybe he wasn't on AS miles? Maybe EK knew he was a travel blogger and gave him the car? Lots of reasons! This is the Middle East of course, where all sorts of exceptions can be made

The official terms and conditions are clear though:
Chauffeur-drive service is not available on reward tickets booked via Emirates Skywards airline partners for travel on Emirates (with the exception of Qantas).

I'm just waiting for a new rule whereby full revenue tickets and EK Skywards redemptions are no longer eligible for CD service ; but AS awards are.

Nothing would surprise me when it comes to EK policy .........

You are not alone. Many of us make a conscious effort to avoid British expat hangouts I even avoid my own countrymen. And I'm not talking Minis. Sorry, all that sauna and salmiakkikossu just isn't for me.

To re-rail the discussion, has it already been reported that SIN now has a small fleet of A6s in addition to the usual suspects?

1 of 2 cars booked

When booking the Chauffeur cars for business class online, it shows an option for me to book a car each for my wife and I who are traveling together. When I booked one car, I get the message: "1 of 2 cars booked." Since this is our first time on Emirates, I want to make sure I am booking the car correctly. I wanted to make sure there wasn't a translation problem here. Am I supposed to book a car for each person? We only need one car. Sorry, I am confused. Thanks for your help.
